IT and Internet security

Did you know that nowadays almost anyone, with just a little prior knowledge, can download free software from the Internet and thereby access all the confidential data/files on your company's network? Firewalls and the like do not provide protection because the attack is launched from the inside. Your confidential files on corporate strategy, passwords (including telephone banking) and wage and salary accounting are no longer secure! IT officers deny these facts, firstly because they reveal gaps in security and, secondly, because the attack is not comprehensible or able to be established. We work together in this field with an external company which specialises in this subject and consists solely of academics, some of whom head university faculties.
